Advanced Topics in Soil Ecology |
Course Description |
This seminar will explore the role of soil microbes and fauna in controlling the important ecosystem functions that occur in soils. Discussions will range from fundamental questions in ecological theory to emerging methodology for examining biotic community structure and function. Topics of particular interest include: the role of soil biota in mediating soil responses to global change, soil food web dynamics, and the interaction of soil organisms with abiotic controls. Students will guide the selection of specific topics to be covered. |
