I grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania. I received my BS in Biology from the University of New Hampshire. I had a concentration in ecology, evolution and behavior and a minor in statistics. My senior thesis was on the social behavior of mantled howler monkeys, which I studied in Honduras. During my PhD studies, I will be working with Dhruba Naug and studying the behavior of honeybees. I enjoy many types of behavioral studies. It isn't the focal species that usually piques my interest, it's the behavioral questions.
