I am a Ph.D. student co-advised by Kevin Crooks and Sarah Reed. I recently completed an M.S. in Ecology here at CSU, and have a B.A. in Environmental Studies and International Studies from Colby College. I am broadly interested in the fields of conservation science and planning, landscape ecology, and wildlife ecology, and more specifically how land use change and human activity affect wildlife. My Ph.D. research will focus on how human recreation (e.g., hiking and mountain biking) affects mammal and reptile occurrence and community composition in the San Diego area. I am originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and in my free time enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, cooking, and gardening.
