I'm a new PhD student working with the Northern Colorado - Global Climate Change Education (NC-GCCE) group funded by NASA within the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory (NREL). My primary contact within NREL is Dr. Randall Boone; however, my primary advisor is Dr. Scott Denning who is also a professor in the Atmospheric Science Department. My work will focus on creating climate change modules for teachers by utilizing NASA remote sensing data. I received my B.S. and M.S. in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma. While in Oklahoma, my research group in conjunction with the NOAA/National Severe Storms Laboratory primarily focused on analyzing data collected from mobile Doppler radar platforms. Most recently, I have been employed at the National Wildlife Federation in the Washington D.C. area as a climate scientist. My primary areas of interest include weather and climate communication/education.
