Erica Goad

I am a new masterĂ¢??s student working with Rick Knight and Liba Pejchar to study the impacts of conservation development on biodiversity. Although I grew up in Golden, Colorado, my passion for wildlife and the environment has led me to Namibia to research conservation efforts of the black rhinoceros and across the American West to investigate environmental issues in the public and private sectors. Following graduation from Whitman College in Washington, I worked in Washington, DC on environmental policy issues for the Union of Concerned Scientists and the Center for American Progress. I then returned West and researched wolverines in Idaho and worked for the last year studying mountain lions and bighorn sheep in Grand Canyon National Park. I love to ski, ride bikes, run, rock climb, and brew.
